Ibtkari is the official platform for institutional innovation under Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR), operated by the Institutional Innovation Unit (IIU)—the body formally responsible for embedding innovation institutionally across MOHESR, its sectors, and affiliated entities.
More than just a platform, Ibtkari serves as a strategic engine for Egypt’s transition to a knowledge-based economy. It is a unified and comprehensive hub for all innovation-related activities and programs, designed to unlock creative potential, strengthen institutional capabilities, and ensure that innovation becomes ia cornerstone of education, research, and public service in Egypt.
Aligned with Egypt Vision 2030, the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research (2030), and the MOHESR National Strategy for Sustainable Innovation (2025), Ibtkari is built to strengthen capabilities, unlock innovation potential, and craft effective, future-ready solutions to the challenges facing higher education, scientific research, and beyond—all through the lens of institutional innovation.
Ibtkari also directly addresses a national priority emphasized by the Presidency: turning scientific research into real-world applications—transforming academic outputs into marketable products, services, and technologies that power a resilient, knowledge-driven economy.
