Empowering Youth for the Future of Work
Under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Be Ready initiative was launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as part of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research. The initiative aims to build the capacities of youth and recent graduates, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in the future labor market.
The first edition of the initiative successfully trained over 2,000 young people and created more than 1,000 decent job opportunities. Building on this success, the second edition was launched in April 2025 under the theme “One Million Qualified Innovators,” with the goal of equipping one million young men and women with future skills and connecting them directly to employment opportunities.
The second phase is being implemented in collaboration with several leading international and regional partners, including the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Global Innovation Institute (GInI), and the Education Development Fund affiliated with the Egyptian Cabinet and the Prime Minister’s Office.
