Council of Private and National Universities

The Council of Private and National Universities, currently chaired by Prof. Dr. Maher Mosbah, is responsible for overseeing, developing, and ensuring the quality of educational and research processes across private and national universities in Egypt. Its key responsibilities include:

Formulating general policy for university education and scientific research in private and national universities, and aligning these policies with the broader strategy for higher education and research nationwide. These efforts are tailored to meet the country’s evolving developmental needs.

Monitoring and evaluating the progress of academic and research activities within private and national universities. This is achieved through the review of annual performance reports, verification of adherence to approved quality standards, and discussion of accreditation timelines with the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).
