The STDF, founded in 2007, aims to promotes science and technology by funding research and development across the full innovation cycle, with Research Support &Technology and development grants focus on small, short term research projects. The STDF also seeds partnerships with global institutions to translate research into technological applications. It is currently presided over Prof. Dr. Walaa Sheta.
