The “GEN Z” TV program, launched in partnership with United Media Services and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is the first of its kind in Egypt. Broadcast on DMC, it provides a national platform for university students to present and develop innovative projects that address community challenges. It aims to transform student ideas into real startups through mentorship, training, and financial support.
Minister Ayman Ashour attended the final bootcamp for projects competing in the Startup Olympiad, which qualifies for the GEN Z program. He praised the students' creativity and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting innovation through initiatives like the Innovators and Talents Fund. Under President Sisi’s directives, the program’s budget was raised to EGP 100 million, reflecting the government’s trust in entrepreneurship as a tool for development.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister Kamel El-Wazir also attended the program’s recordings, praising the youth’s energy and creativity. GEN Z fosters a culture of innovation across key sectors like health, engineering, agriculture, and technology.
The program strengthens collaboration between government, academia, and media, helping Egypt’s youth become drivers of the new republic through science, entrepreneurship, and national service.
